In 2018 and 2019 the Jordan Institute for Families was honored to partner with Dr. Allison Metz and her team to support the Institute on Implementation Practice which brought together implementation support practitioners, nonprofit and government leaders and staff, researchers, and direct service staff to grow their competencies for supporting implementation efforts across a range of human service contexts, including family-serving systems. The Institute sought to expand thinking around what is needed to support equitable implementation through storytelling and case examples that center the human experience at the heart of implementation. From 2020 to 2022 we moved from a two-day in person format to virtual webinars on implementation practice.
Later in 2023, the UNC School of Social Work formally engaged Dr. Metz and her team to form the Collaborative for Implementation Practice. The Collaborative for Implementation Practice has evolved to offer a highly sought after global certificate in implementation practice. We encourage you to learn more about the certificate – and sign up at their website. We value our ongoing partnership with Dr. Metz and her team.
