Silence Sam Film Screening and Panel

The Social Justice Action Series (SJAS) presents a screening and panel discussion of the Silence Sam Film on August 27th at 5 pm at the School of Social Work Auditorium. This participatory hybrid documentary was made by students at the UNC School of Media and Journalism. It follows the student-led movement to remove the statue and the resulting silencing of student protest by university administrators. The student activists and producers Mistyre Bonds, Michelle Brown, Maya Little, Kristen Marion, and Courtney Symone Staton will participate in a panel discussion on activism after the film.
This event is free and open to all. Dinner will be provided from 5:00-5:30 outside of the auditorium.
