Panel on Ethics and Access, Equity, and Advocacy Part II: Focus on Citizenship and Humanitarianism

Panelists will address humanitarian crises in the treatment of immigrants and refugees in the US from the perspective of ethics, law, mental health, and social advocacy. At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify and describe at least 1 way that the current treatment of non-citizens in the US violates professional code of ethics
  • Name and describe at least 2 ways that the current treatment of non-citizens negatively impacts their health and mental health
  • Identify and name at least 3 ways to contribute to the wellbeing of non-citizens in the US

 

Panelists include Ana S. Nuñez, MSW, JD;  Nelitza D. Gonzalez, NCC, LPC, LMFT; and Viridiana Martinez, founder and director of Alerta Migratoria. Moderated by Josh Hinson, LCSW, LCAS.
