Own Your Influence: An Unconventional Journey to Making an Impact at Work

In a video interview with links below, Jordan Institute Advisory Group Member and CEO of Global Simon Group, Sherenne Simon, talks with us about her new book Own Your Influence: An Unconventional Journey to Making an Impact at Work

Sherenne talks about her career trajectory and offers some great advice on mentorship, responding to stress in the workplace, and how we can align with and trust our intuition.  Take a listen with us!

Listen to Sherenne share about her career trajectory and current work.

In one chapter, she talks about mentorship.  Here she shares a story about a really great mentorship experience, how to  be a good mentor, and how to demonstrate leadership skills to mentees.

She also writes about responding to stress in the workplace. Here, Sherenne shares about how we can apply what she’s learned to our current, chaotic times and how this has made her a better leader.

Next, she talks about aligning and trusting your intuition – how can we navigate this in the times we are in where there is dwindling (public) support for DEI? How can we continue to live into our values and not comply in advance? And, how do we support staff and colleagues to be able to do the same?

Finally, she closes with what she hopes readers take away.
